Ugo Colombo was born in Milan, Italy and came to the United States in 1983. Colombo began his career in real estate while studying at the University of Miami. While completing his studies, Ugo Colombo managed condominiums for businesses at the Imperial on Brickell Avenue. After obtaining his Business Administration Degree Colombo worked to obtain the remaining property in the Imperial and was able to conduct a successful sell-out. This initial venture in real estate helped Ugo Colombo to become recognized as a respected residential and commercial real estate developer in South Florida.

After his initial foray, Ugo Colombo began focusing on the design and development of high-rise luxury condos. The resulting effort gave rise to the Bristol Tower, 40 stories, and Santa Maria, 54 stories, on Brickell Avenue which have both become landmarks on the Miami Skyline.

Ugo Colombo then partnered to create Porto Vita luxurious county club residences. Porta Vita is made up of 360 Mediterranean-style residencies on an 18-acre property with a 34,000 square foot Villa Grande Club. The residencies at Porta Vita range from $750,000-$2.5 million.

Ugo Colombo acquired The Collection, a luxury automotive franchise featuring Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Audi and McLaren, in 1994. At the time Colombo acquired the dealership, it was one of the top preforming dealerships in the United States. By 2011, Ugo Colombo had increased the total revenue by over five times.

Ugo Colombo’s most recent development projects have included Grovenor House, a 166-unit luxury condominium, and Epic Residences and Hotel, a 55-story condominium and hotel. Ugo Colombo recently partnered with Portman Holdings to present a bid for the renovation of the Miami Beach Convention Center.
