The primary stunt car used in John Hughes’ 1986 classic ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” has been restored and recently sold at an auction.
Fans of the film will recall Cameron Frye, friend of Matthew Broderick’s character, Ferris Bueller, venting his rage on his father’s beloved Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder only to cause the vehicle to fall to its untimely demise.
The Ferrari used in that scene was one of three replicas built for the movie. Car enthusiasts can rest easy, the film’s production staff shared that no Ferraris were actually damaged or destroyed during filming.
With its stunning red paint job, this lovely vehicle will forever hold a warm place in the heart for Ferrari Enthusiasts.
