Maserati, the Italian luxury manufacturer, proudly announced receiving an incredible 17,000 orders over the first seven months of 2013, nearly tripling the amount sold last year.
As of June, Maserati reported having received 14,159 orders. Of those orders, over 7,900 were for the new Maserati Quattroporte. The 110,000 euro ($147,300) Quattroporte sedan was the biggest seller, Maserati brand chief executive Harald Wester said.
Selling moreis an important piece of Fiat’s latest strategy to return to profit in 2016 in , where it lost 700 million Euros last year in a shrinking market.
With an incredible run in July of nearly 3,000 orders, Maserati seems to have secured a return to profit in 2016 as more consumers are selecting its new car models as their luxury vehicles of choice.
