Executive cars have always focused on comfort and luxury for their drivers. Luxury comes at a price though. Those big executive cars are usually not that fuel efficient. However, the diesel industry has begun to make its mark on some of the top executive car models. Audi recently announced the diesel version of the A8. It can achieve 36 miles per gallon on the highway which is more than its competition. The Lexus produces 23 highway miles per gallon and the Mercedes gets 31 miles per gallon on the highway. We should start to see more diesel engines in future Audi cars.
