It has been 50 years since Porsche released a car that will lead a legacy of exotic sports cars. Whether you’re a Porsche fan or not, you can’t help but overlook what the 911 has contributed to the sports car industry. It started with the 1963 Frankfurt Auto Show when they introduced the 901. Since then, the basic construction still remains intact. However, they put the rear-wheel drive mechanicals in the wider body of the 911 Carrera 4. It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with in the next 50 years.
